Delaycast

About Delaycast

Delaycast is a free service designed to help travelers best understand the risk of flight delays. Looking beyond just simple averages, we arm you with information about the likelihood of delays or cancelations on specific dates, on specific airlines, between specific airports at specific time slots.

We aim to give travelers realistic expectations about their travel plans. Our goal is to help flyers avoid delays, missed connections, and unintended stayovers.

Delaycast currently provides two planning tools:

Delay Predictions where you can search specific airports, airlines, dates and times for the forecasted risk a delay or cancellation.

Delay Profiles where you can get a broad view of the best days, times, and airlines to fly, from selected airports

The Delaycast Engine

We are looking forward. That's the biggest difference we offer in the marketplace of information. Our forecasts are based on predictive modeling technologies that review historical patterns in flight delays and project them into the future. In building the Delaycast engine we built on technologies and techniques refined through decades of business analytics experience and a dogged curiosity in how to make sense out of a world filled with statistical noise.

All of our predictions and profiles are based on forward-looking models, and as such, are never 100% accurate. Looking forward, we cannot predict foul weather, the grounding of a fleet of MD80s or the landing of Air Force One. Nevertheless, the insight will help travelers avoid known troubles.
